John Garvey is one of the founding partners of CREATE. Prior to forming the company John spent over 12 years working in small and mid-sized architecture firms in Dallas and Houston. In his time in those firms, John worked on a wide range of commercial and residential projects across the country gaining valuable experience in all phases of architecture from site planning to construction administration.
John’s primary responsibility at CREATE is to lead and oversee all design efforts. This starts with initial conceptual plans and ends with construction completion. John spends lots of time on site to ensure that construction is executed in a way that maintains the intent and integrity of the design. Additionally, John takes pride in job cost analysis and project budgeting.
John is a 2004 graduate of the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree. He and his wife, Kelly, have three children (Garrett, Miles, and Elle). In his free time John enjoys playing soccer and spending time outdoors with his family.
John is a registered architect in the State of Texas.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Tim Garvey is a partner of CREATE with over 35 years of construction experience. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Tim has a firm grip on the local real estate market and trends in the area.
Tim manages project scheduling, daily construction activities, and the implementation of the company’s energy efficient standards. Twice Tim has won the Excellence in Energy Performance Award in the North Texas area. This award is for Outstanding Energy Efficient Construction and is recognized by Oncor Electric Delivery and the Texas Association of Builders.
Throughout his career, Tim has put an emphasis on continued education, a mindset that has led him to several prestigious certifications. Tim is one of approximately 800 builders nationwide to complete the criteria required to be called a Graduate Master Builder (GMB). Preceding his GMB designation, Tim earned the title of Certified Graduate Builder (CGB). Tim is also recognized as a Certified Green Professional (CGP) and a Certified Aging in Places Specialist (CAPS). D Magazine has named Tim one of Dallas’ Best Builders for 10 consecutive years.
